Blue Mountain Community Church is local church in Thornbury, Ontario committed to, “bringing everyone one step closer to Jesus.” We are part of the Free Methodist Church in Canada and love being part of that broader network of accountability and discipleship. Our Values

  • Jesus Centred

    We believe that Jesus is the perfect image of God and the head of the church and so we aim to follow Him and learn from His example in all that we do.

  • Biblically Based

    We believe the Bible is God’s word and so it is our guide, authority, and conscience in everything. We stand firm where it stands firm and remain flexible where it is flexible.

  • Community

    We believe that we were created for relationship with God and each other and so we are committed to connecting with one another in authentic and caring relationships.

  • Serving the World

    We believe that God equips the church with gifts to carry out His mission and so we have a responsibility to use our gifts to serve the world locally and globally.

  • Prayer

    We believe in the power of prayer to transform both our hearts and our world and so we are committed to listening and speaking to God through practices of individual and corporate prayer.

  • Worship

    We believe in a God who is so good that the only appropriate response is hearts full of worship and so we are committed to worshipping Him in all parts of our lives including preaching, singing, prayer, reading Scripture, serving, and bringing our gifts and offerings to God’s work.
